Cäcilia Dorner
Cäcilia Dorner was born in Dornbirn, Austria in 2002. She received her first violin lessons at the age of four at the Bregenz Music School with Günther Presslaber, then with Alexandra Rappitsch at the Dornbirn Music School. At the age of twelve, Cäcilia came to Rudens Turku at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory in Feldkirch. She then moves to Editha Fetz's violin class, also at the Feldkirch State Conservatory. Since 2019, Cäcilia has been receiving lessons from Philip A. Draganov at the ZHdK PreCollege in Zurich.
When she was just 6 years old, Cäcilia was awarded first prize at the state competition “Prima la Musica” for the first time. She also celebrates numerous successes as a chamber musician at state and national competitions in various formations.
In March 2022 she was named state winner in the violin solo category with 100 points.
Cäcilia gained orchestral experience with, among others, the PreCollege Orchestra Zurich and the QUARTA Youth Philharmonic. She gains valuable knowledge from various master classes and workshops such as Austrian Arts Sessions, Allegro Vivo, SIMA Youth Classics, Solonghello - Summer Master Classes and Glatt&Verkehrt.
In 2018, Cäcilia was the initiator and co-founder of the piano trio “The Silver Trio” together with her sister Miriam and Stefan Man. Together they won first prize at the national competition “Prima La Musica” in Klagenfurt. In 2020, the piano trio recorded their first album under the Coviello Classics label, with early works by Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Bernstein.
